Markets ended slightly lower amid a shortened week with HK markets being disrupted by a massive storm. All 3 US bourses ended slightly lower with European markets following suit.

Asian markets' initial week losses were slightly offset by positive news surrounding the repayment of debt from Country Garden which perhaps provided investors with a not-so-gloomy outlook. With Chinese real estate now being on close watch by the Chinese authorities, investors are anticipating more support being rolled out.
Global investors’ eyes will still be on this month's Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) for trading/buying directives.
